Reconnect
Reconnect is developing an evidence-based, preventive educational programm that teaches young people essential life skills and reduces the workload for teachers. The projectteam combines scientific psychology, innovative pedagogy and eco-social design principles to empower young people to independently promote their mental health and life skills and shape their future according to sustainable principles.
The approach:
A three-month programme with six progressive workshops for grad 7 students (as a starting point), covering key interdisciplinary skills from Curriculum 21 – from self-reflection and empathy to creative problem solving. Through repeated, participatory learning formats using methods such as eduScrum and a systemic design framework, young people internalise these skills in a lasting way and become active shapers of their present and future.
External facilitators conduct the workshops, which directly relieves the burden on teachers. The programme is supplemented by a digital companion – an app that anchors what has been learned in everyday life. In close partnership with schools and extracurricular organisations, we are embedding these skills in the education system in a sustainable way, thereby contributing to systemic change and SDGs 3, 4, 10, 16 and 17.
