Even if greenhouse gas emissions were to fall to zero overnight by some miracle, the climate would continue to warm for decades. We therefore need to adapt to these changes to ensure that our cities and landscapes remain liveable and safe places in the future.

Speakers include

• Stefan Dürig, CEO of Gebäudeversicherung Bern (GVB), on “Natural hazards and climate change in the Canton of Bern – How will climate-related and socio-economic changes affect the risks faced by Gebäudeversicherung Bern (GVB)?”
• Flurin Mosimann, graduate of the BFH MSc in Circular Innovation and Sustainability and expert in climate adaptation, heat adaptation and urban greenery at the City of Biel
• Prof. Dr Jerylee Wilkes-Allemann, lecturer in Forest and Environmental Policy and expert in sustainability and urban forestry

The event will conclude with a discussion and an apéro.
