Develop ideas for a more sustainable Alpine region together: At the InnovateTheAlps Hackathon, students from different disciplines and universities will work on concrete real-world challenges from 13 to 15 November 2026 in the Chiemgau region.

Over 48 hours, interdisciplinary teams will develop innovative solutions related to the circular economy as well as ecological, social and economic sustainability. The challenges are provided by companies from the Alpine region. At the end of the hackathon, the teams will present their ideas in a pitch competition, with the best solutions receiving cash and non-cash prizes.

In addition to working on the challenges, the programme includes a keynote on the circular economy, a hands-on workshop on artificial intelligence, and job speed dating with participating companies. The hackathon therefore combines practical experience, networking and the opportunity to meet potential employers.

Accommodation in shared rooms, meals, non-alcoholic drinks, the supporting programme and required working materials are covered by the organisers. Depending on when you register, participation is either free or subject to a small registration fee.
