Do you have any ideas on how to bring together students from all of Bern’s universities and get them excited about sustainable development? Then you’re the community booster we’re looking for! Send us your idea and receive a Micro Grant to put it into action and forge new connections.

Are you passionate about sustainability and keen to connect with students, either online or in person? As a Student Sustainability Ambassador, you will deliver lectures in various programmes and communicate with our community on Instagram.

Are you interested in everything that grows and crawls, looking for a way to unwind from your studies, and keen to grow your own vegetables? Then join the gardening community at Bern’s universities! In two gardens in unique locations, you can help decide what grows there. Whether it’s taking part in a Permablitz or doing some regular weeding in the Studigarten on Falkenplatz – helping hands are always welcome!

The Studigarten is tucked away in the Länggasse neighbourhood. Behind the Bern University of Applied Sciences building at Falkenplatz 16, 3012 Bern, lies an idyllic garden where students from Bern’s universities can let off steam. Just outside the city of Bern, deep in the Bremgarten Forest, lies the permaculture garden. With a fantastic view of the River Aare, it’s a lively place full of blossoms and the hum of activity.  Helping hands are always welcome here. From time to time, workshops on topics related to permaculture are also held. If you’d like to join the gardening group, please get in touch at bern@students4sustainability.ch.
